According to foreign media reports, RFMD published RF5605 and RFFM420x series 6 x 6 mm high power front-end module, designed for ieee802.11b /g/n wi-fi 2.4-2.5ghz client device (CPE) applications, including RFFM4200, RFFM4201, RFFM4202 and RFFM4203.
The RF5605 and RFFM420x series of high-power front-end modules can be used as wi-fi IEEE 802.11b/g/n, access point/gateway, wi-fi-enabled on-board boxes, client devices (CPE), data CARDS and terminals, exhibition and MMDS systems. Relevant products are now available for mass production.
Each component in the series has a built-in third-order linear power amplifier, Tx harmonic filter and SPDT switch. These modules also has a complete matching the input and output, suitable for 50 Ω system, and includes the linear output power and efficiency and better matching network.
These modules can be paired with any wafer pack or used for wi-fi design configuration through the lens pin option. The series front-end module POUT = 27.5dbm < 2.5% EVM, single-end 5.0v supply, has a typical 35dB gain in the full frequency band, suitable for 2.4ghz-2.5ghz frequency range, 1X1 MIMO architecture, and built in 3 order PA, filter and T/R switch features.
